I’m having the same problem and have been for months. Can’t get recurring bills to work (shows negative numbers), can’t even click on “Money” most of the time (get the “you’ve found a bug” message), and haven’t heard back to any bug reports. Frustrating.
I’m still having a problem creating a bill with anyone who is a Facebook user. It says “Internal error! We were unable to save this transaction. Please contact us.”
And then never lets me add the transaction. I hope this can be fixed too.
When are you fixing recurring bills?
For as long as you don’t fix this, all of your users will fear that the site will go down…..and there’s no way to export the data!!
Thanks for the effort last time. Billmonk speed seems to have recovered up until today for me.

While trying to figure out why your post is the only mention I could find of the expired certificate, I happened to click a link to “www.billmonk.com”, and was surprised to see no expired certificate warning.
I guess it’s (way past) time to get my data out, change my password, and never use Billmonk again…

Looks like I aint alone on the Internal error problem. Everything is broken, bill reporting page, contact us page and many more. If someone comes up with some kinda solution, let us all know here.
Billmonk is giving signs of going down again. It went down for several days few months ago. So I would suggest everyone should back-up their billmonk data in the event of the site going down again. To do that:
1. Go to Account on top right corner of billmonk page
2. Select Download data
3. Save all the data that you can. The option to save all data returned a bug on first attempt, but it was fine on the 2nd try.
something is wrong- we aren’t able save new bills, when i tried to use the contact feature the “oops you’ve found a bug” message popped up. billmonk is so helpful but kinda frustrating when it’s not working right. anyone know of other sites like this that are less buggy?
Interestingly enough, the problem with creating new bills seems to happening only on my Mac, and not on my friend’s Windows PC, or on my own Ubuntu..something to do with cookies, etc? Haven’t tried to fix it on my Mac yet, but hopefully this could help other netizens..

The biggest problem seems to be the fact that there is “NO BODY” to contact for help/assistance with this issue…
The issue seems to be consistently persistent over the past week with everybody and we have not received even a single reply from the concerned personnel thus far..

Buxfer went through this same issue a few months ago. Thats why I switched to billmonk since they had a blog and a twitter account, were owned by a real company (obopay) and seemed to be more responsive when things go down. BillQ looks interesting though I just put together a google spreadsheet and might just stick with that. I’m pretty done with fly by night startups that abandon their sites.
It seems to be something to do with cookies . Didnt work on safari on Mac, Chrome on Ubuntu, IE on windows xp , but WORKED on Mozilla firefox on Ubuntu . Thing to note is I had never accessed billmonk on this system before. Maybe try clearing up you cookies.

I am not sure if that’s the problem…I tried accessing billMonk from Chrome Incognito window (that doesn’t have any cookies)..still it did not work.

It’s working for me now. Windows 7 on Firefox, Chrome, and IE9. However, to sign in on IE9 I needed to completely disable the security to accept all cookies because even on the “Low” settings Billmonk was saying I needed to configure my browser to accept cookies.
I try to add a shared bill and it gives me an error when I hit the SAve button: “Internal error! We were unable to save this transaction. Please contact us.” Can someone please take a look?

It looks like it’s down again. It says, “you’ve found a bug”, when I try and report the bug (using the report bug link) that fails too.
