You can now make your BillMonk library public for anyone to see. We give you:
- A URL to your public library page, which anyone can use to view your collection
- A badge showing a random sampling of your things. We give you the HTML code you need to paste into your MySpace page, blog, or website. We take care of periodically refreshing your badge.
To make your library public, just log in, click on the "library" tab, and then click on "show to everyone".
We hope you enjoy this new way of letting your friends know more about your interests! Check out BillMonk's MySpace page to see it in action.

Hi there!
Any ideas how to use billmonk to manage/monitor own finances???

Howdy!
Unfortunately we do not explicitly have support for this at the moment. The good news is: we’re working on it!
In the meantime, while it’s not perfect, you can do the following:
1. Create a separate email account. Something like: myfinances.myname@gmail.com.
2. Track personal expenses by making this address the person who owes you money.
3. Use tags to categorize your bills. E.g. ‘food’, ‘entertainment’, ‘gas’ etc.
Like I said, the current system isn’t exactly designed for this purpose so the above solution is only temporary. We will have something much better for you soon!
Thanks for the idea. Please tell us any others you may have.

I just started using billmonk and it’s brilliant! Could you advise on how to insert a billmonk badge onto my wordpress blog?

Obiwoon – sure thing! From your wordpress dashboard, click on “Presentation”. Then click on “Sidebar Widgets”. Add a Text Widget, with the content being the snippet of badge-HTML provided on your BillMonk share-library page. And then you should have a badge!

Billmonk,
just for reference regarding the above comment in a blog that’s build in a CMS system like Drupal, which I use, instead of a widget you’d be adding a module.
